OPT Start Date: Jan 2009
OPT End Date: May 2011
Comp A (A Consulting Firm)applied for H1-B in April 2009 thru consular Processing and got approved. I worked for Client X in the month of April but lost my job in a week itself.(thus I dont have any pay Stubs from Comp A)Since Comp A was not able to find me a job. I found A full time job in Comp B in June 2009 , I somehow convinced Comp B to hire me as a contractor as I already have my H1-B approved thru Comp A. Thus from july 2010 I started working for Comp A again as my employer and Comp B as its Client. I am planning to go for VISA stamping in Dec 2010. My Question is
1) If they Ask for my Tax Returns and W2 for 2009 what should I answer as I just have my W2 frm Comp B
2) would there be a question of something like why havent I've been working for Comp A Since my H1 approval.
Please advice. I appreciate any kind of answer

Hi,
I am an Indian national holding an Indian passport. I am working in UAE. Please suggest would it be a good idea to get H1B stamped in UAE or in India?
Also please share your experience with H1B interview in UAE.

If you're already eligible to use AC21, then I see no problem working as consultant as long as it is of the same job category as your LC. ATP and location does not matter anymore.

Fellow IVians,
We need to contact the campaigns of Senator Obama and Senator McCain and apprise them of our core issue. We all know that some relief bills are on the House's agenda but then given the actual time the Congress is going to be doing any legislative business, it is time to be prepared for the next presidency.
We can convey to both the campaigns that we are a 25000 strong High Skilled Immigrants advocacy group and can donate/campaign/put forward their case for them in this election.
A formal open letter to both the campaigns can be send as a start and then liaisons for immigration purposes can be contacted demanding their position about our issue.
I know that there is a stray mention of immigration related issues on the official website of both campaigns but if we can eke out something concrete regarding policy change and its implementation within a certain time frame after the elections it would be very helpful for our cause.

On the heels of my May 8 post (Do Immigration Fee Revenues Drive Justice at the USCIS?), the Office of the Ombudsman to U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) issued a May 15 report criticizing the unfairness and inconsistency across USCIS offices nationwide of the agency's procedures for getting a seasoned officer to take a second look at an adjudicator's erroneous decision or action. The report, entitled "Motions Matter: Improving the Filing and Review Process for Motions To Reopen or Reconsider," affirms the point that "clear Service errors" are widespread yet unresolved problems: Rectifying clear Service error is a recurring...

We are looking to talk to a good immigration lawyer and seek opinions on the following
(1) H1b visa transfer process for physicians after residencies into a jobs
(2) How to handle licensing issues - murthy.com has some info, but we need a better perspective
(3) Green cards for physicians - eligibility and time frame and minimum requirements etc..
Any any other pitfalls or booby traps that one has to be careful about.
A lot of physicians do visit IV website - am wondering if there are any user groups or forums on web that discuss potential issues and other stuff that we discuss on IV.

i have it on Nikon mount, and one of the samples i tested had a back focus issue. i just bought the one that didnt. Sigma is real good at fixing/replacing defective lenses
I have to agree with that, I did send it back to Sigma and 3 weeks later it was fixed and now I seem to have focussing issues with my A700 and a couple lenses that seem to work fine on my A300 but this Sigma works really well on the A700 and A300.
